My experience with LEGO was more then 25 year ago when I started again building with LEGO in 2006. The first (and only) technic LEGO set I had in my childhood was the Fork-Lift Truck, set # 850, form 1977. From there I had some experience with car steering. To day LEGO offers much more parts that can be used for steering-gear. So I tried them out:

In this example I used the big wheels, technic Links L9, technic steering suspension and technic Shock Absorbers 6.5L
I used conventional technic LEGO bricks instead of studless beams.

However, the wheels can't be put in motion by a motor. Thy are no connected to an axle.

But the Shock Absorbers work very well!
